I’m happy that it’s January – I swear! Actually, now it’s February, and that makes me even happier! Why? Because we’re that much closer to August when I can bake in the sun and complain about the heat. I enjoy complaining about the heat much more than I do complaining about the cold.
I don’t remember what I talked about on this episode, but I do know the mic seemed to work a little better!
Ok look, I’m uploading this without listening to it first. I’m just not. I’m just “Livin’ on a Prayer” that this microphone works better than the last. This one is a cheap $2 one, compared to the previous one which cost about $50. I’ll have to ask James Corden next time I see him what mic he uses for Carpool Karaoke because you can’t hear anything but their voices when you watch those videos. I was tying to hear the car and I couldn’t.
I recorded this episode a few days ago, and I can’t even remember what I was talking about mostly, except I do remember a little dreaming/visioning session off the cuff about where I could potentially see my business going in the future. I don’t know if any of this help you at all, but it helps me, so I’m keeping on with it. Cheers
In this final ep of 2019, I play catch-up after being a couple months behind on posts, recap where we are with a few things, and talk about an idea I’ve been thinking about to possibly start a non-alcohol bar somewhere. Cheers!
{edit: tried to post this Tuesday evening but slow conenction at home prevented me from uploading it, so dropping it today, Jan 02, 2020. Enjoy!}
Hi Folks! I recorded this today and am posting today! First time for everything. Well, I’m behind quite a bit and lost about 4 hours of recordings. I bought yet another new microphone and it works ok except I found the road noise a bit much, so I may have to keep hunting for something else. I talk about perceived and planned obsolescence in this ep, and you can find the Story of Stuff video by clicking here!
I’m trying to quit sugar and I suck at it. But it’s not just a health issue either, it’s a monetary one – a financial position one – so I talk a bit about that too. Also, I tried out a fiverr account and let you know how that went so far, then close with a little about raising animals for our own food.
I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry! I should trash this one – but its right after the hurricane, I was pretty exhausted and depressed, and I wanted to talk. Also it’s election time and I speak a little about that.
In this very NASALLY episode (sorry, my allergies were killing me) I record from my workshop and discuss my chicken plucker project as well as an upcoming writing challenge, part of my goal to get back into writing more often!
First of all, huge apologies for the long wait between episodes here – I have a bunch of eps to listen to and somewhere out there I cursed and want to bleep it but I missed it somehow – so phooey! In this ep I talk about some other ideas for future pods and ongoing microphone issues plague me. Cheers
In episode 16 of the podcast I give a no-sugar update, and then get into some other new ideas for future pods. How about a Cape Breton Travel Show? What’s the best way for me to highlight all the best Cape Breton has to offer? And again apologies in advance – my microphone must have been busted because there’s some annoying static once and a while. I chucked it.
In episode 15 of the podcast I introduce some other ideas I have for future episodes, like reviewing films set in, or made about, Cape Breton Island. It’s raining so apologies for the extra fuzziness of the sound. It’s not the worst so I decided to publish this one.
